A facile colorimetric sensor for selective identification of Al(III) ion in water was established with organic-inorganic nanohybrid,Hof urea conjugated rhodamine probe1. The receptor1was processed into organicnanoparticlesONPsand was immobilized on gold nanoparticles (AuNPs); the nanohybrid (AuNP@ONP) wascharacterized with various spectroscopic techniques.Hon binding with Al(III) ion showed a naked eye pink toblue-purple color change with concomitant modulation in SPR peak (530–670 nm) in absorption spectrum. Thepresent sensor displayed a detection limit of 14.2 nM and can be utilized to recognize Al(III) ions in real samples.en_US
