Abstract: In this paper, we analyze the secrecy performance of maximal ratio combining (MRC) diversity scheme over Nakagami-m fading channels. Closed form expressions for probability of existence of positive secrecy (PEPS) and lower bound on secrecy outage probability (SOP) are derived. We also analyse the secrecy diversity order of the system and concluded that the secrecy diversity order is mM. The derived expressions are validated by the results obtained from Monte Carlo simulations. The lower bound on SOP evaluated from the derived expressions are found accurately tight from the excellent agreement between analytical and simulation results.
