This paper addresses the angular misalignment problem in the far-field Microwave Power Transfer systems operating at 5.8GHz using the proposed 3D polarized fieldforming technique. A 3D rotating E-field is generated by using a distributed antenna system to achieve this objective. The system is analyzed to understand the effect of 3D rotating Efield in comparison to the 2D E-field (circular polarization). The analytical results are verified using a commercial simulator and prove the potential of the proposed 3D polarized field-forming technique to achieve an orientation-insensitive MPT system to power a freely rotating receiver node.en_US
