Abstract: The Pulsed Electroacoustic method has been widely used in research labs and industries for space charge measurement for quite some time. Due to its robustness and simplicity it has attracted great attention of researchers. Various models of PEA system have been reported using numerical simulation and COM SOL to address issues related to charge signal. Recently, the authors have reported a PSpice model of PEA system to address some design related issues. This PSpice model utilizes analogy between electromagnetic wave propagation in transmission lines and acoustic wave propagation in solids. In the present work the authors have modeled amplifier response which was not reported in their previous work. It explains the signal distortion when an amplifier is connected in the PEA setup. Wherever possible, the simulated results have been compared with the experimental results and found to be satisfactory.
