A “Cu framework-substituted AlPO-5” catalyst (designated as CuAlPO-5) was prepared and investigated for the activation of alkenes and alkynes in producing β-amino compounds, triazoles, and indolizines. The catalyst was stable during several recycling studies. No significant loss in its activity was observed even after five recycles. Copper nanoparticles (CuNPs) were loaded on the external surface of CuAlPO-5. This “CuNPs supported on CuAlPO-5” catalyst was active in the synthesis of propargylamines. The framework-substituted Cu, the CuNPs, and the acidity of CuAlPO-5 have been inferred to play significant roles towards augmenting the product-yields of the catalytic reactions reported in this study.en_US
