Abstract:
In order to explore the reaction modes on the basis of their entry state spin population, an experiment
has been done by employing particle-γ coincidence technique carried out at the Inter University Accelerator
Centre, New Delhi. The preliminary analysis conclusively demonstrates, spin distribution for some reaction
products populated via complete and/or incomplete fusion of 16O with 159Tb system found to be distinctly
different. Further, the existence of incomplete fusion at low bombarding energies indicates the possibility to
populate high spin states.
